Attraction System
Pikmin 2.jpg
Similar to Shanghai Disneyland's Camp Discovery Challenge Trails guests will be given harnesses and strapped into them for safety. Guests will then be able to proceed, and explore the Trail of Hope on three possible difficulty routes of Normal, Hard, and Extra Spicy. As seen in the picture above the trail can be vastly challenging depending on the path chosen to travel on, and if a guest ever feels uncomfortable they can change their mind while in a specific route they can simply change their difficulty by walking to an easier route. This will be accomplished by the same grid system that Shanghai Disneyland uses for changing their own routes.

The attraction will run frim park open to sundown on that specific day, and during peak season may resort to giving out return times to guests. This will be in the form of a scannable QR code that will simply let guests know they can expect to adventure. Guests that are under the height of 42 inches will not be allowed to partake in this experience.

Attraction Experience

Approaching the entrance of the attraction guests will see a red onion with some red Pikmin holding up the sign proudly displaying: Pikmin: Trail of Hope. After passing under the sign guests will wait in a small queue area where they be able to see data files displayed on overhead information giving them background on their mission, the explorers tagging along with them, and the various types of Pikmin. Guests soon reach the entrance of the attraction in which they will be suited up in their explorers vest which bears similarity to the outfits of Alph, Brittany, and Charlie.

Guests will begin their journey by passing by exiting guests and going around the S.S. Drake. From here on out guests can say goodbye to the last remnants of civilization as they cross the wilds found in the Trail of Hope. Now those that play Pikmin will know that there are actually oversized pottery shards that bake bridges, sticks that make crossings, and more all done by the Pikmin. These elements will be present in various stages of completion which will determine the difficulty factor.

Throughout the trail guests will be able to see Pikmin hiding throughout. Winged Pikmin will be seen carrying parts of the attraction over rivers. Blue Pikmin can be seen lounging on a large oversized lily pad. Yellow Pikmin connect wiring inside cave portions of the trail allowing for light to shine in. Rock Pikmin will be seen sitting near a bed of crystals. White Pikmin can be found hiding in various plants. Purple Pikmin can be seen hiding in the rockwork. Finally, Red Pikmin were seen at the beginning of the adventure holding up the sign.
As guests wrap up on the trails they would have crossed bridges over rivers and chasms, hugged tight spaces crossing into caves and cliffs, and even have found some fruit along the way for Alph, Brittany and Charlie to come and collect later. They have seen beautiful waterfalls, overgrown foliage recreating an alien like jungle, and pieces of ordinary junk that have been repurposed into walkways and shaky crossings that allowed guests to journey around. Most of all guests have been to create fun and ever lasting memories on their trail of hope.

As guests depart the attraction they are thanked by cast members for having located fruit that will be sent back to their home planet for cultivation solving their growing hunger problem. Guests will pass by a small kiosk selling Pikmin merchandise to commemorate their journey.
