The City

The Expo

Tomorrowland is known throughout the cosmos as one of the most scientifically advanced places in the universe.

The cornerstone of the city’s scientific achievements is the Black Hole Power Generator. Scientists have been able to create a full, artificial black hole contained safely. It is used to power the entire city and more! The Generator is located in the old Carousel of Progress/Innoventions building. It serves as the transition to The Expo as it is visually more designed to fit into the Downtown section and in the story it is the thing that makes the city of Tomorrowland so special, but it also serves as the symbol of Tomorrowland’s status as a scientific juggernaut thematically connecting it to the Expo.

Tomorrowland, with its advanced technological status as the forefront of progress, is host to The Interworld Fair Expo. A celebration of scientific achievements from throughout time and space. Great minds from all around the cosmos gathered together to share their achievements and to work together to advance the cause of progress for all man/alienkind!

Visually, this section of the land looks a lot more sleek and modern compared to the busier downtown area. Smooth lines, flat colors, geometric shapes, etc. It is not unlike Shanghai’s tomorrowland or Epcot’s hub.

To help block the sun as well as to help visually distinguish this section from the others, a wavy canopy similar in design to the one in front of the Tron coaster covers a large section of the area. Lights in the canopy help this section come to life at night.

The attractions of this area are all dedicated to various areas of scientific study and research. Though they are not necessarily educational or focused on learning. There is actual science at play and guests will learn some things. But the themes of progress, advancement, and experimentation are here primarily to entertain and inspire.
